We provide pregnancy services for women with great care and confidentiality.

If you are wondering if you are pregnant, you may be experiencing many emotions. You may feel excitement, but might also be anxious, confused and overwhelmed.

The first thing to remember is—you are not alone. We are here for you, right now.

We can help you navigate the choices that are in front of you with accurate information and compassion.

Pregnancy Tests

When considering your pregnancy options, verifying your pregnancy is the first step. You can schedule a free, confidential, medical-grade pregnancy test (the kind used in doctor’s offices) to start this process.

If you need verification of pregnancy, we can provide the documentation necessary to apply for Medicaid and WIC.

Ultrasound Confirmation

Every client who has a positive pregnancy test at Beginnings Care is offered a free, level-one ultrasound with our medical personnel.

The purpose of the limited obstetrical ultrasound is to determine the viability of your pregnancy by confirming it is in your uterus (ruling out an ectopic pregnancy, which requires immediate medical attention) and that there is cardiac activity. We will also determine your due date. We will not determine gender.

Keep in mind that we are not able to offer ultrasounds if you have already had one at the hospital or if you are already under a doctor’s care.

Information and Referrals

Your peer-counselor can help you to explore your options. We have up-to-date, medically accurate information on:

Pre-natal development and what’s happening in your body, during pregnancy
Abortion procedures for each stage of fetal development
Types of adoption (open, closed and semi-open) and adoption agency referrals. You can meet with an adoption counselor at our center, if needed.
Referrals for obstetrical medical care, Medicaid, WIC and other social services
Parenting education, including lessons on stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery and hundreds of other topics, through our Earning & Learning Program
Ongoing support for every step of your journey
